About Metropolis Movie Music

Europe’s premier recording complex, Metropolis Group, and Atlantic Screen Music have joined together to form a new soundtrack label, Metropolis Movie Music.
Headed by Metropolis Group MD, Ian Brenchley and Atlantic Screen Music founder & CEO, Tim Hollier and Simon Fawcett, Metropolis Movie Music will release over 50 soundtracks per year, the first three being the OST to the David MacKenzie debut film, ‘You Instead’ and ‘Perfect Sense’, and the Matthew Hope film ‘The Veteran’.

Central to the production of all of the scores will be Metropolis Studio themselves. With a majority of them being original written and composed music, it will establish the studio as Europe’s leading music recording studio in film as well as music.

In January 2011, Tim Hollier and Simon Fawcett set up Atlantic Screen Composers (ASC), an investment fund to produce and finance music scores for film and TV. The creation of ASC gave filmmakers further opportunity for investment where it had previously not been available. Tim and Simon have had prolific careers that have seen them invest in hundreds of films, and become music consultants to some of the biggest studios in the world such as Ealing Studios.

The creation of Metropolis Movie Music with The Metropolis Group will allow these scores of music to grow and develop their own identity. The soundtracks will be sold through Metropolis Movie Music’s www.buythesoundtrack.com, which will also contain exclusive content as well as the corresponding film trailers.

Tim Hollier & Simon Fawcett Say: ”We are currently producing and funding some 40 plus film scores per year, to be able to offer our clients an immediate and hands on soundtrack release coupled together with our close relationship with Metropolis Recording Studios gives us a significant advantage over our competitors, be they major publishers or individual record companies”
Additionally Metropolis Movie Music have signed an exclusive distribution deal with Fontana (a wholly owned subsidiary of Universal Music Group) to take care of the label’s international interests.
